VIMDIFF keyboard shortcuts:

do – Get changes from other window into the current window.

dp – Put the changes from current window into the other window.

]c – Jump to the next change.

[c - Jump to the previous change.

Ctrl W + Ctrl W – Switch to the other split window.

Useful VI tip

Here is an easy way to get rid of the annoying characters gedit adds to your files

:%s/^V^M//g

The ^v is a CONTROL-V character and ^m is a CONTROL-M. When you type this, it will look like this:

:%s/^M//g

I have some nice pictures of rain drops that I have wanted to blog about but that can wait for post exams

I took these photography classes during summer and these are some of the pictures I took for my first homework. One of the things my teacher said was “its a good picture if it makes u happy” and I think I liked my first shooting set

This is a picture of the lil crib we make for christmas every year. I don remember which year this was but its kinda fun making them. Especially with my brother mark arnd. Markie would have these ideas of putting plastic snakes in pool of water around to make it look like baby jesus was born in the amazon forests and lots of people would object to it for sure.. but hey what the heck. Its called child license if u dint know that already!!

Among all the stupid things I have done in the past. One was to take a brand new camera right out of the box with no charge on the battery to my first photography class!

Well at 3 am that night when I finally got done with everything and had this amazing slr in my hand and a tea candle on my table. This is what I got. My first step into learning to use a dslr
f4.5 and 1/30th of a sec. Regular no flash mode on a nikon d40

Detour on our way to Neahkahnie Mountain

As part of a hiking group I had a chance to see some of the beautiful mountains in and around portland.  The entire region is oh so green and filled with flowers in summer!! The first one was the mammoth Kings Mountain. I like to believe we made it somewhere close to the top and it took me quite a while. I could barely feel my feet once we were back.  This set of pictures is from the last one, when we just got lazy and drove past our trail head to feel the beach sands and eat crabs at the pirates cove on 101.
